Amazon is charting as leader as always but Walmart is taking back organically in the marketplace model. However they are already loved by millions with their robust brick and mortar offline distribution as well as good sourcing capabilities globally.
For the FMCG and other quick consumables shopping Amazon is performing well, they are quick to deliver and has big eCommerce customers base, their own set of very successful private labels makes them even more relevant for customers.
Walmart also grabbing attention of the consumers being economical as they promise to be, and they are quickly expanding their merchandise selection. Bigger catalogue will definitely give them boost cause they don’t need any introduction specifically in US.
